Sign-ups for the second summer of Scranton Library’s free Summer Drop-Off Program for children aged 5 to 12 will begin next Wednesday, February 7th at 5:30 (in-person) and 6:30 (online). Enrollment will be limited to one week per child, and the program will be divided into two age groups:

5-8 years old: 9:00 am- 11:30 am the weeks of July 15th, 22nd & 29th
                       12:30 pm- 3 pm the weeks of August 5th & August 12th
9-12 years old: 12:30 pm – 3pm the weeks of July 15th, 22nd, & 29th
                        9:00 am- 11:30 am the weeks of August 5th & August 12th

Children must turn 5 (or 9) by the first day of the program.

The program will run an additional week this summer, for a total of 5 weeks.  

July 15-19 
July 22-26 
July 29-August 2 
August 5-9
August 12-16

Children enrolled in the summer drop-off program must have a Madison, CT address and either have their own library card, or a guardian with a library card.

IN-PERSON SIGN UPS WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 ON FEBRUARY 7TH AT THE SUMMER EXPO AT SCRANTON LIBRARY.

ONLINE SIGN UPS WILL OPEN AT 6:30 ON FEBRUARY 7TH ON OUR WEBSITE.

SIGN-UPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. THERE ARE 15 SPOTS PER SESSION, PER WEEK.

Remember, enrollment is limited to one week per child. If you enroll for more than one week, we will automatically cancel your enrollment for any weeks after the first calendar week you sign up.

Paperwork can be picked up at the Scranton Library at the Summer Expo on February 7th, or at the Children’s Desk any time after, and must be returned IN PERSON by June 1st, 2024. If it is not returned, your child will be moved off of the list and someone on the waitlist will be moved up to take their place.
