Join our new Saturday Breakfast Book Club! Each month, we'll read one of the books the New York Times designates as its "Most Notable Books" from the preceding year while enjoying coffee and refreshments. Copies of the book will be made available at the library's Circulation Desk.

Our selection for August 2023 will be the acclaimed memoir Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad. Writing from a hospital bed, Jaouad began a nearly four-year journey battling leukemia at the young age of 22. After her cancer went into remission, Jaouad begins a road trip with her dog to seek out a number of the caring people who wrote to her about her story. What she discovers is that the key to survival is not a journey you take alone but one which requires all of us — the sick and the healthy — to make us whole.
