Program Description

Event Details

Connecticut may seem tame, but look closely and you find a state where incredible discoveries about rocks, dinosaurs and wild places have been made for centuries. Exploring Connecticut's Natural Wonders is the award-winning program about our states natural history--and places where its past comes to life--that is a popular favorite.

The program explains how our state's small size and intriguing past makes it one of the best places in the world to explore natural history.

With intriguing slides, animations and video, the program takes you on a tour of places that reveal how continents collided to build local bedrock, where our region was flooded by molten rock, where dinosaurs prowled immense lakes, where the last Ice Age left its mark--and the great variety of wild places we have to explore in our state today.
