Join us to discuss a great classic of world literature! For February, we will be reading the 1959 drama A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. The story tells of a Black family's experiences in south Chicago as they attempt to improve their circumstances with an insurance payout following the death of the father, and deals with matters of racism, discrimination and assimilation. It has been ranked as one of the greatest plays ever written. Please call the library at (203) 245‑7365 if you wish to place a hold on a copy. Sign up below to join in the conversation!
