Redefine the way you value your yard landscape:  What used to be designed for curb appeal and weekend puttering for many now has the capacity to deliver so much more. Living in the watershed of Long Island Sound- an estuary of national significance-means that what we do really does make a difference.  Let's rethink the lawn and learn what "native" is, why it matters, and how to attract and sustain wildlife.  Learn to manage your landscape while reducing water, fertilizer and chemical use to benefit local waterways. Presented by Judy Preston, Long Island Sound coordinator for the Connecticut Sea Grant, with thanks to the Gardening Club of Madison.
