Event Details
In 1981, President Ronald Reagan nominated Sandra Day O’Connor to be the first female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. It would be twelve years before another woman was nominated and confirmed for the Court and that was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Sixteen years later, a third female justice, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, joined the court. Today, there are four female justices on the highest court in the land. These six justices all had esteemed legal or judicial careers prior to joining the Court. The Supreme Six followed varied paths to the Court but there are certain commonalities to their experiences as well. Join us on March 1, 2023 for a conversation about these six remarkable women and their unique histories. Please sign up for this event below!
