Join us for a screening of the 2013 Italian comedy-drama The Mafia Kills Only in Summer! The film, which follows the story of the young Arturo Giammarresi, is mainly a homage paid to the policemen and the magistrates who fought and gave their lives between the late 1970s and 1992, heroes of legality that were martyred in the attempt to dismantle the Sicilian Mafia. This is a tie-in event with our Oct. 18th talk "Martyrs for the Anti-Mafia Cause: An Italian Film Legacy," to be presented by Dr. Penny Marcus of Yale University. Dr. Marcus will also host the screening and lead a Q&A afterwards. No registration is required to attend!
